The Faculty of Engineering at UNSW is the largest in Australia and is consistently ranked the nation's best. Recognition as the leading provider of engineering education in the Asia Pacific region underpins our strong international reputation.

The student experience is pivotal. We offer the most comprehensive range of undergraduate degrees - including a choice of double-degree programs - and our excellent industry links provide valuable workplace experience. Numerous hands-on, student-led projects - such as the solar car racing team and Robocup - instil practical and collaborative principles. Students also benefit from opportunities to study on exchange programs in Asia, North America and Europe.

With 60 years of sustained excellence, we continue to provide a cutting-edge education. Multidisciplinary research and a global perspective are integral to our programmes as we respond to the changing marketplace.

We are at the forefront of developments in traditional areas, such as civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as emerging fields like food and pharmaceutical engineering, healthcare, energy, water and climate change.

Initiatives like our Engineering Design and Innovation first-year course demonstrate our commitment to producing "tomorrow's" engineers.

All our programs equip students with knowledge and skills across a broad range of areas so that they move seamlessly into employment, both locally and internationally. Along with theoretical and technical ability, we value problem-solving, teamwork and all aspects of project management as essential and we recognise that an engineering degree is often a springboard into the wider corporate world.
