The recipients of the inaugural Faculty of Engineering Staff Excellence Awards have been announced by the Dean, Professor Brendon Parker.

2004 Administrative Staff Excellence Award
Brad Hall, School of Computer Science and Engineering

2004 Technical Staff Excellence Award
John Hart, Water Research Laboratory, School of Civil & Environmental Engineering
Peter Linich, School of Computer Science and Engineering

2004 Teaching Staff Excellence Award
Richard Buckland, School of Computer Science and Engineering

2004 Research Staff Excellence Award
A/Professor Nigel Lovell, Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering

The UNSW Faculty of Engineering Staff Excellence Awards were established to reward and encourage exceptional and outstanding service or work performance by administrative, technical, teaching and research staff in the UNSW Faculty of Engineering.

Each Award consists of the presentation of a certificate and the payment of a sum of $5,000. The joint recipients of the 2004 Technical Staff Excellence Award received $2,500 each.

Professor Parker said he most impressed with the outstanding quality of all staff nominated for the Awards.
