Professor Rob Burford has won the Royal Australian Chemical Institute’s Applied Research Medal in recognition of a decade of outstanding applied research and innovation.

Professor Burford, the head of the School of Chemical Sciences and Engineering, received the medal at the RACI National Awards Dinner, held at the University of Melbourne, on November 28.

Also recognised recently was Associate Professor Martina Stenzel, who won the David Sangster Polymer Science and Technology Achievement Award at the 30th Australian Polymer Symposium (30 APS). This award is presented to an outstanding polymer scientist under the age of 40 and to encourage work in polymer science or technology.
