Faculty of Engineering High School Information Days
If you answer yes to the following three questions then you should consider taking part in the UNSW Faculty of Engineering High Schools Information Day to be held on Tuesday, 8 May 2007
- Do you have an interest in people, the community and would like to be involved in the decision making process that will involve future world technological needs like water, infracturer, power to medical devices?
- Do you have an underlying interest in problem solving, design, sciences, technology and satisfying commercial constraints and realities?
- Do you have an aptitude to peruse an engineering degree and already have the appropriate math and sciences background at school?
There are only 350 places available for the day and once this number is reached no further registrations can be accepted. However, we also hold another day at the end of the year (a date yet to be confirmed).
Please note that places are not secure unless a completed registration form is submitted to the Faculty of Engineering prior to the closing date and confirmation of the registration is supplied to your school in writing with detailed information about the day for you and your students.

The purpose of the day is to showcase the importance of engineering in today's society and how engineering can provide a wide range of interesting and challenging career opportunities. During the day there is a presentation on engineering courses offered at UNSW, inter-active tours of schools and laboratories and the opportunity for discussions with faculty staff and current engineering students.
Who should consider a career in Engineering?
- People who want to make a difference to society and all aspects of people's lives
- People who have an interest in people and what they need
- People who have an underlying interest in science and technology
- People with an interest in the challenges of problem solving, design and satisfying commercial constraints and realities
- People who have abilities in mathematics and science

If you would like to arrange a Faculty of Engineering campus tour with one of our Engineering Student Ambassadors please email the Faculty on eng.faculty@unsw.edu.au allowing 5 days notice when requesting this service.
Please understand that we sometimes cannot accommodate your requests because the ambassadors may be studying, sitting exams or on holidays. We will endeavor to accommodate your request if possible.
