The Faculty Research Grant Program (FRGP) is a Faculty-based scheme that is administered through the Faculty of Engineering and is designed to meet the following objectives:

• support development of competitive applications to an external research funding agency, including industry linkage applications;
• support area/s of research strength or emerging research strength ;
• support cross-disciplinary research (between two or more schools or two or more areas of strength);
• support research by new staff (first 2 years at UNSW) and early career academics(ECA).
