UNSW is an international university and the Faculty of Engineering is increasing its links with major universities throughout the world, particularly in research and in joint delivery of postgraduate programs.
Since its inception, the Faculty of Engineering has attracted a large number of students from countries around the world, with the majority from the South East Asian region. More than a quarter of the Faculty's students now come from outside Australia and its international dimension is one of the Faculty's strengths and enables students to develop networking links. Generous advanced standing provisions are available for diploma holders and graduates of overseas institutions.
The Faculty plays a major role in developing and maintaining UNSW's national and international research status by attracting distinguished visiting academics from around the world.
Postgraduate research students may also have the opportunity
to travel to use special facilities and to attend international
conferences.
