"While spending 3 months in the desert of Western Australia getting dirty might not be everyone's idea of fun, it's definitely one of the places engineering can take you! The chance to work in a mine 3000kms from home, in the middle of the desert, with equipment you've never even conceived the size of, getting the best (and dirtiest) hands-on industrial training experience ever - who wouldn't want to do Engineering!" Alessandra Ryde - 2002 Rural Scholarship Recipient. |
